Hello, interested in buying some used corsets at some very decent prices? Historical, tight lacers, minimal reduction? Well you’re in luck.

My Ambition for this year is that by the end of it I would be able to launch my Nerdlita line of comic book lolita outfits. JSK’s, OP’s, sets/accessories. Then be able to move into other Nerdom culture like Doctor Who, Sherlock, Video Games, ect.

These are the first four that will be made in the line. I currently have models for two of the designs. Joker Nerdlita and Deadpool Nerdlita and am looking for models for Silver Banshee and Lady Death.

I will officially be starting the creation of these designs directly after Katsucon, Tues the 19th. [Allowing for 1 day rest].

It would be appreciated if Models would be available for fittings and live within an hour- hour and a half of Newark, DE but not required.

Helpful DIY or general information on Lingerie and things

For those of you that follow me or see this post I want to make a suggestion of people to follow or places to go. I reblog/post a lot of lingerie, corsets, and on occasions historical costumes. I noticed the high traffic I get on those pieces in particular so I thought this post/my blog would be a great way to get out some vital information in one collective place.

Whether you want to DIY your lingerie/corsets or buy them, here are some links you might want to bookmark.

If you want lingerie advice I suggest The Lingerie addict. You can find her on FB, tumblr, Pinterest, and on her main site. She also has a twitter and Youtube account.

For reviews on corsets, DIY corset videos, or general information on myths of corsets, lingerie, ect., check out Lucy Corsetry aka Bishonenrancher.

On the off chance someone reads this and is into historical sewing, [Victorian, Edwardian Elizabethian, ect.] check out this blog by Leimomi Oakes called The Dreamstress. This year she is hosting a 26 Historical sewing challenge called The historical Fortnightly.

For the DIY corset maker designer Alexis Black of Electra Designs recently hosted a Kickstarter campaign to which she raised money to start comprehensive corset merchandise. In doing so she started a FB group that has now turned into a successful corset making group where we share advice, knowledge, and praise each others work called Learn how to make corsets like a pro. I highly recommend this group, I personally, am a part of it and I enjoy every moment of it because I learn so much that books and videos had been missing.

For historical How to’s check out American Duchess website in her Tutorial section. She also has a FB page under the same name. She creates authentic era shoes and stockings and is a historical costumer herself.

For more corset information resources I suggest checking out Waisted lives here on tumblr.

Foundations Revealed and Your wardrobe unlocked has very good free and member articles on various corset and costume related things. For example: This helpful article I used myself, on Y&N Diagonal seamed corsets. Its a pretty helpful how to.

Another really good resource for learning corset makers and seasoned corset makers happens to be The Practical Corsetie re. This particular site hosts a wide amount of resources and information on various parts of the corset or corset making. It even hosts images of patterns that could potentially be upscale or fitted to an individual.

This Couturiere La Parisienne holds a wealth of patterns from the early 20th century. There can also be found on it a various amount of other how to’s and tutorials, pictures or even article links of various other era’s of fashion. For example, this page features undergarments from 1858 - 1939. Not all pages are in English, however.

I am the Ol’ Corset who designed, made, fitted, and trained tightlacers in the 1960s and beyond. I trained my own waist to 19” and still corset everyday (see photo below).
